TPE (SEBS – SBS)
Caucho termoplástico
TPEs (SEBS or SBS) are materials that behave in a similar way to rubber, but with similarities to plastic. They are two-phase materials. A flexible elastomer-type rubber phase, which gives them the typical properties of soft touch, elasticity, flexibility and minimum temperature of use. And a rigid plastic phase that determines the hardness, recyclability and maximum use temperature.
TPE specialities:
Flame retardant V0 TPE , conductive TPE , antistatic TPE , wear resistance and lubrified TPE , TPE with adhesion to PA, PC/ABS, PMMA, PC/PBT, ABS,…, TPE for food contact, TPE transparent,…
Typical applications:
Shoe soles, gaskets, electrical covers, floor mats, bumpers, cables, bed springs, shakers, toothbrushes, wheels,…
