TPU
Resistencia a la abrasión
Thermoplastic polyurethane or TPU, is characterised mainly by the following properties:
- wear and abrasion resistance
- high tensile strength and excellent tear strength
- good damping properties
- very good flexibility at low-temperature
- oil, grease, microbes and ozone resistance
- soft touch.
In addition to the main components (polyols, diisocyanates, short-chain diols), various additives are added to aid manufacturing and processing. Other additives specifically alter the properties of the finished products: for example, flame retardants, plasticisers, UV stabilisers or glass fibres to increase stiffness.
Thermoplastic processable polyurethane elastomers (TPU) are suitable for demanding applications in virtually all industrial sectors. Injection, extrusion and blow moulding grades are available. TPU ester, ether and aliphatic (excellent UV resistance and soft touch).
We have the possibility of carrying out customised developments, depending on your needs and requirements.
With our TPU we are manufacturing: car parts (inserts, stands,…), TPU bollards, soles (TPU soles) of footwear, TPU heels, cables, tubes, TPU ear tags,…
QUALITIES
We offer virgin TPU, untreated TPU, high quality substandard TPU and recycled TPU.
ADDITIVES FOR TPU
We also have excellent additives that improve the processability of TPU.
Concentrated masterbatch additive that increases the crystallisation rate, improving mould release.
External lubricants reduce cycle time, improve flow and avoid the use of mould release sprays.
